The Letter Fairy

The Letter Fairy

It’s October and we are settled into a nice Pre-K routine.  Miss 5 is really enjoying school and all of the cute activities her teacher comes up with.  One of her favorite activities is the Letter Fairy.  Every week students work on learning a different letter of the alphabet.

On Mondays, the Letter Fairy visits the class mailbox and places a small object or treat that begins with the letter of the week inside. The kids are so excited by her visits!   So far she has brought M- magnifying glass & maraca, C- car, F- fruit snacks, P- pumpkin, N- nerds.  Next week, this mama is the Letter Fairy for the letter H.  It’s great because next week is also Halloween!  So I decided to make this week’s treat extra special and maybe a bit spooky.

How fun are these skeleton hands from Dollar Tree!  Hand starts with h!  Yippee!  I knew we had to somehow work them into our Letter Fairy treat!  With a little bit of work, I came up with this cute little saying,

Hands Down

Mrs. xxxxxx’s class

Is the Best in Town!

I printed the saying on some cute Halloween templates I found online.

Now all I had to do was come up with some treats that started with the letter “h”-  hummus, hamburger helper, hot cakes, hamburger, hot dog, ham, horehound candy, ho ho, …… And then it came to us!  Hot cocoa, Hershey’s (milk chocolate and cookies & cream) and Heath.

We filled each bag with our “H” treats and secured one spooky hand and saying to each with a Halloween ribbon! Voila! One spooky “hands” down bag!  Can’t wait to see what the kids think of it!

Happy Halloween from the Letter Fairy!!!
