I can’t believe Miss 4 is about to turn 5!!! Please make it stop! I’ll just sit here and cry while you read about making these super easy and adorable table decorations. Check out our watermelon aguas frescas recipe and our Cinco de Mayo party favors!
This year we are having her birthday party on May 5th so what better theme then a big Five and Fabulous Birthday Fiesta held on Cinco de Mayo!!! To set the theme, we started with these adorable and very simple table decorations. Of course, we borrowed the idea from Pinterest. And since I always set my theme so far in advance, we had plenty of time to bargain shop for most of our decorations.
Supplies:
- Mexican cans in various sizes (Rotel cans work too)
- Real or fake cactus in various sizes, colors and shapes
- Real or fake flowers in bright colors
We found these Mexican cans at our local Walmart. Don’t you just love the colors!!
We were super excited when we found these mini cactus in the Target Dollar Spot for only .33 after Valentine’s Day (ain’t love prickly). We scooped up all 10 that they had left for only $3.30!
Found these cute cactus at The Dollar Tree. And although they seem expensive compared to the .33 cent ones from Target, we love the pop of color, variety and height that they will add to our table.
Last, we raided the discount flower section at Hobby Lobby. Most of these were only .50 and the rest were 50% off. Not pictured are the hot pink flowers we found at Walmart for only .97 a bunch. My favorite are the yellow ball looking stems. They add just the right amount of whimsy, don’t you think.
We LOVE how they turned out! We made 10 cactus and flower arrangements for around $40.
